- New for the 2025-2026 season, Sherwood is rolling out with their new Sherwood Rekker Morph 1 Grip Junior Composite Hockey Stick line. The Rekker Morph 1 features a duo-fire kickpoint, an ETS shaft design, as well as carbon fibres throughout the stick to improve its overall durability and performance, while remaining lightweight.
- The Rekker Morph 1 hockey stick features a low kickpoint with a duo-fire secondary kickpoint. This means that the stick flexes lower to the blade, but also has a secondary kick point higher on the shaft. This combination is designed to provide a balance of quick release and powerful shots. The low kickpoint allows for a rapid release on wrist shots and powerful snapshots, while the secondary kick point adds power to slap shots and one-timers.
- The shaft uses a variety of unique designs and cutting-edge material to provide outstanding performance. The shaft’s BlackLine XXV carbon fibre has a 25k weave for durability and weight reduction. The Featherlite XT layup further reduces the stick’s weight by eliminating unnecessary material in both the blade and shaft.
- This stick also makes use of Pyrofil carbon fibre which was designed by Mitsubishi and was previously used in the Sherwood Code line of sticks. This ultra-lightweight material improves the stick’s overall feel and performance while also providing remarkable longevity and durability during the most intense games.
- Lastly, the shaft is designed with a new look. This stick features an ETS (Ergo Taper Shaft) shaft design, which is a shaft with three distinct shape variations. It has rounded corners and convex side walls in the upper shaft, concave forehand and convex backhand in the ergonomic mid-shaft, and an oval taper.
- The Morph 1 uses Sherwood’s VR92 blade which includes an I-92 dampening inlay to elevate the blade’s durability and responsiveness. This innovative technology not only strengthens the blade for increased longevity, but it also significantly improves the feel during passes and shots, providing players with enhanced control and precision in every play they make.
- Throughout the stick, Sherwood added DCF (Dual Carbon Fibre). This material can be found in the shaft and blade. This design allows for a carbon fibre external layer and internal core layer to provide a powerful and lightweight structural frame.
- The grip on the Rekker Morph 1 is the corner tactile grip, which is designed to provide players with a strong and reliable grip so they can hold onto their sticks better. This stick also has concave sidewalls with grip friendly corners to provide a more natural feel in a player's hand.
